November the forgotten month

November is a real sleeper of a month for trout fishing. Crowds are almost nonexistent and fish are getting fat for winter. Their are BWO's, and smaller Baetis hatching on most western trout rivers now, especially the T. Hooked seven nice fish in just a few hours up from my house mostly on dries today. Get out there before it gets to cold...

Crowds are gone unless you are on the Trinity, huh. Fished yesterday on the Madison, no crowds as well lots of Fish, ranging in the 16-18" range. BWOs are about done here, onto midges.

Gotta agree. November is awesome.

Yeah, Trinity is insane. That 3 dollar bridge section is so rad, gotta be one of the best places I've been to. Pronghorns and trout, awesome.

The brown trout spawn must be close to an end, do you think they'll become a lot tougher to catch?

Gonna get much harder to fish simply cause of low water temps. You do catch a lot of Browns in the winter as you are mostly, or should be fishing the frog water.

I hear about 5-10 lb browns out of the Truckee River all the time but I have never heard of a Truckee River rainbow trout that big. Why do you think the Truckee River browns are bigger than the rainbows?
