Big Rainbows, and the PMX.

We have got a couple real big Rainbows to the net in the last few days. In the bottom photo Amanda from Virgina nailed one of the biggest Bows of the year on a Royal PMX dry! Today Alex from Santa Cruz landed a big female beauty, but I know he will think about that Brown he lost towards the end of the day. We have unbelievable big fish this year in the Truckee River. With all the water I don't think it will slow down until Winter.

Matt---As usual nice fish.

Been off the water for a couple of days & probably missed two great-weather related days...but have to do adminstrative stuff.

I'm going register as BigFly's first blog "follower".

Love the Parachute Madam X. Between it and a Turk's Tarantula are some of my favorite attractor dries. I think I would rather fish those flies than some big foam hopper. Within the last couple days things have really started to shape up here. Took my brother in-law down the Madison last Monday, the big bugs where in full affect. I wanted to throw him out of the boat for how many big fish he either missed or broke off. How do you do it as a guide? I guess I don't have the patience.

I look down deep and let doves guide my way through a spiritual journey down the river and deep into my heart. Serious though, I would love to be out on the Madison right now with you and a 12 pack of schmidts.
