It's all about the big pull. Getting that grab on a streamer is the shit. We had nice overcast skies today, perfect streamer weather. Fall overcast days means streamer time. I hit some runs down deep in the canyon and bam, big pull on a big streamer, never even saw the fish. The fish ripped line off down the tail out into another rapid heading towards the next run, gone. Oh well....

hey. sounds beautiful. do you use a sink tip line when streamer fishing?
I fished the 14th too-- one of the best days in a loong time! Burk's Aggravator in black and a red cj killed em. A lot of fish took the aggravator right before the swing or on the swing-- much like a streamer...
cheers-- digging all the updates on this site!!
what would be your guess on how many fish per mile in the special regs section?
It has to be over 2000 fish per mile. Not sure though just a guess. I've fished the Green in Utah when no one was catching fish and there are over 12,000 a mile there. What do you think?
I have read between 3 and 6ooo from other articles, at least in the special reg section.
does down deep in the canyon mean between farad and floriston. I have caught some nice fish at farad. never went to floriston though.
Gilligan only fishes in Fly Casters.
Funny you mentioned that. I just had cocktails and lunch with Chuck Yeager and Clint Eastwood after a session of catching tail less fish the other day.
There's no wild fish in Flycasters?
I would say no, but who knows? When are you get up here and do some fishing with me? Maybe we can get Colin for old time sake, or just make fun of him. Peace...
The weekend of the 17th might work. I'm up for a bachelor party I think. And any time is a good time to make fun of Colin.
Call me my no# is still the same...
